Eliminate Dengue
Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne viral disease that occurs in over 100 countries worldwide and affects up to 40% of the world’s population. With no known vaccine or cure this can result in upwards of 40,000 deaths a year.
Funded by the Grand Challenges in Global Health initiative our challenge is to develop a new strategy that will reduce or incapacitate the mosquito populations that transmit dengue to people.
This website follows our team and the research it is undertaking ‘To modify mosquito population age structure to eliminate dengue transmission’.
